  • Tonight on #thirstythursday it's the battle of the Malvasia Biancas. A 2018 from @bonnydoonvineyard and a 2017 from @larnerwine . We compared and contrasted with crab rangoons, crab cakes, teriyaki glazed salmon and chicken lo mein. I didn't expect this to be a post...but it will be. Too much to talk about! Watch for it!
  • 2016 En Gobelet from @tablascreek Savory smoky with loads of fruit! Yes we are drinking this early, but it's so delicious now! From headtrained blocks 39% mourvedre 30% grenache 20% syrah 8% counoise 3% tannat We had this with a meat lovers pizza and the nose so echoed the sausage on the pizza with a background of garrigue. And yes, it felt a little decadent to drink this wine with pizza. #pasorobleswinecountry #winewednesday #winewednesdaywins #adelaidadistrict #rhonelover

I headed to the grocery store late night tonight to pick up a rosé to enjoy late night (when I didn't want to pick a special bottle out to the cellar without Michael). I picked up this wine from @14handswine . It's rosato style (a little deeper skin contact). A rosé of Syrah from Washington.   • Last night we enjoyed this 2015 @illahevineyards Percheron estate Pinot Noir. It is part of their Historical Winemaking series and is Horse powered as you can see by the back label. Those horses are two Percheron draft horses, Doc and Bea. They are also LIVE certified and salmon safe!
